Pad Thai

We used to live in Old Irving Park in Chicago and go to Arun's which was an upscale and expensive but high quality Thai restaurant. The food was also presented artistically like little sculptures. We have tried a lot of Thai restaurants and are always in search of good ones. My wife has had many Thai students and we have used their recommendations for good restaurants. The Thai students have also come to our house and prepared and cooked Thai food in our kitchen and on our grill. We moved to Homewood and found this restaurant when it was still in Lansing. The cook used to cook at Arun's in Chicago and the food was of the same quality without being so expensive. When people would visit us we would take them to this restaurant. After they moved to Tinley we would go there on special occasions. We bought Thai food in Chicago over Christmas holiday but the food we got from this restaurant in Tinley Park was strikingly superior and tastes like the homemade food that Thai students prepared at our house and even better. They have maintained their quality over the years and we are confident of getting something good when we go here. The pricing seems like it is a little higher than other Thai restaurants but they give you a lot, almost family size portions (for carry out you can feel the weight of the bag) and the difference in the quality and taste is amazing and well worth the price, if you are picky eaters like us. They give you a range of three levels of spicyness and it has always been the perfect amount for us. This is the best Thai restaurant in the area that we have been able to find, and we have tried a lot of them.

Hummingbird Cake

This cake is like no other. This was deliciously complex. A lovely dense blend of a coconut cake and their version of a hummingbird cake. My all time new favorite.

Pad Thai

My pad Thai was absolutely delicious. It was a lot food for what I paid for so worth it. The only thing I have to complain was that they did give me utensils or napkins. But beside that everything was great.
